Food that increase fertility

Plant based food including whole fruits, vegetables, whole grains, raw nuts and legumes are good for infertility.Eating seafood rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon and mackerel are also very beneficial.

Beans and Lentils

Both legumes are excellent sources of folic aid, which aids with conception and helps develop healthy embryos.

Salmon

It is full of omega-3 fatty acids which are proven to regulate blood flow to the reproductive organs.

Sunflower seeds

It is rich in vitamin E, a nutrient which increases sperm count and sperm motility. It also contains zinc, folic acid and selenium all of which are potent fertility nutrients.

Berries

It is rich in antioxidants.

Asparagus

It helps to strengthen the reproductive system. It contains vitamin A, C and B. It also contains folic acid, zinc and selenium.

Fig

Figs are rich in iron which are good for healthy egg and ovulation.

Raw nuts

Walnuts and almond are good for improving the fertility in men.

  • Simple and refined carbohydrate: Pastries, white bread, sweet dessert, white rice, sugar etc.
  • Trans-fat : Cakes, pastries, french fries, fried chicken etc.
  • Highly processed food : Canned food, meat products like bacon and sausage, biscuits, potato chips etc.
  • Alcohol
  • Excess caffeine intake
