CHOLAYIL SANJEEVANAM ACADEMY OF AYURVEDA,  a  wing of Cholayil Sanjeevanam is functioning from No.28, Medimix Avenue, Kalaivanar Colony, Padi Pudu Nagar, Chennai - 101 which is equipped with the entire infrastructure necessary for the students' academic as well as personal comfort. The aim of the center is to provide comprehensive professional training to students in the nuances of Keraleeya Panchakarma, various Naturopathy treatments & Yoga.

The well planned syllabi prepared by Dr.P.T.Chacko, MD (Ayu) Ex-Professor of Ayurveda College, Coimbatore and  Dr.Ajitkumar, well known among the readers of Oushadam, has come at a most opportune & appropriate time. Ayurveda is breaking new grounds and is making its presence felt in newer regions around the world. Its popularity and acceptance among diverse population of the world is also on the increase. Star Hotels, Corporate Hospitals, Locations of Tourist interests are all now setting up Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Yoga Centric establishments in their premises. Properly trained man power at present is in extreme short supply. Opportunities in foreign countries too are ever on the increase.

According to the Administrators of the Academy, this is one of the best courses available today on the subject of Keraleeya Panchakarma, Naturopathy & Yoga, which gives necessary theoretical knowledge and sufficient practical training in different types of Ayurvedic massage and Panchakarma Therapy, Yoga & Naturopathy, Ayurvedic Beauty Therapy, Identification and Preparation of Ayurvedic Medicine & Naturopathic cookery, Communication Skills, Physiotherapy, Principles & practice of Nursing etc. The students will also be training for basic Computer Knowledge.

The authorities of the Academy says they have designed the course keeping two important aspects in mind - Course content and affordability. The Primary Aim is to impart Comprehensive Theoretical Knowledge which is further designed in such a way as to cement the imbibed knowledge through practical experience as on an "on the job training under strict supervision".  The course is designed to make it affordable to even the lower middle class and so the Fee Structure is kept at its lowest in comparison. Added to that, provision is made to pay stipend to the students for 6 months during the practical training duration. The course consists of 6 months full time theory classes and 6 months full time practical training.

The Technical Faculty consists of Eminently Qualified, Experienced Practitioners of the Disciplines of Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Yoga headed by Dr.P.T.Chacko, MD (Ayu), who are committed to the philosophy of the student -centered approach to help them learn properly. Through this course students will get a thorough understanding of the basic principles of Ayurvedic treatments. They will also get an opportunity to see the patients and their progress while under going Ayurvedic & Naturopathic treatments for various ailments and health conditions.

There will be monthly tests in each subject and final theory and practical examinations at the end of 6th & 12th months respectively. Constant evaluation enables the students to assess themselves and improve from time to time. Equal weightage will be given to both theory and practical examinations.

Since there is a great demand for properly trained and efficient hands with good communication skills, placement will not be a problem for the successful candidates. Cholayil Sanjeevanam has planned to set up a Career guidance and placement cell by the end of completion of training, and arrange for Campus Interviews for the students.
